Call recording may only be done with the Mitel connect desktop app with the primary assignment set to Desk Phone or External Assignment Number.
If you have not set up Mitel yet or would like to verify your settings please follow these steps and images:
Open primary number assignment by clicking your name(extension).
Set your phone to either Desk phone or External Assignment Number.
External Assignment Number is good for work from home, however must be set correctly to prevent improper call routing. To set up:
- Label the number
- Type in the 10 digit phone number
- Set number of rings at or below 4 and set to "automatically connect"
- Or set number of rings at or above 8 and set to "press 1 to connect"
With External Assignment Number set up open the settings by clicking on the gear. Navigate to Call Routing and select Availability Routing. If Availability Routing is greyed out select the save option then navigate to Availability Routing.
Under the Available setting select the first change option. On the simultaneous ring screen deselect the check box. After removing the simultaneous ring press save.
The account should now be set up for call recording. See Recording and Downloading a call for more information.
