To a record a call you need a specific Mitel license. Please submit a ticket if you need call recording and do not have it.
Call recording is not supported on the mobile app yet.
To record a call from your Mitel desk phone:
- Initiate the call.
- Press the record key on the phone. (Note that this key only shows if you have the proper license).
- Press the record key again to end the recording.
To record a call from the Mitel Desktop connect client (using forwarded phone, desk phone, or softphone):
- Initiate the call.
- Click the "REC" button in the Connect client.
- Click the "REC" button again to end the recording.
To export a recorded call to your computer (After July, 6,2021):

- Go to https://portal.shoretelsky.com/
- Go to "Home Menu" and then click on "Call Recording."
- You will need to select on or after July, 6, 2021
- once selected you will be directed to the power play recording portal.
- Select the dropdown right of period and set the period to include the date that your recording was made. Click start search.
- Highlight the recording and select the phone icon with the triangle.
- Select load voice recording.
- Click the floppy disk and select the media to be exported
- The Zip will need to be extracted before you may interact with the audio file.
To export a recorded call to your computer (Before July, 6,2021):
- Go to https://portal.shoretelsky.com/
- Go to "Home Menu" and then click on "Call Recording."
- Highlight the recording you need and click the download "Calls" button.
Please Note: When you download the recording, it should give you the option to name the file and then save it. The saving of the file is based on the browser you use and your browser settings. Please see the following two links on how to save a file in Chrome or Internet Explorer.
